What are the requirements to join this training?
Licensed Mental Health Professionals
- Qualifying Mental Health Clinicians must have a master’s degree in the mental health field (Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Social Work) or related mental health discipline and be licensed to practice through their state board or province.
Pre-Licensed Mental Health Professionals
- Qualifying pre-licensed Mental Health Clinicians must have a master’s degree in the mental health field (Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Social Work) or related mental health discipline and must be actively pursuing a full license through their stat board while working under a licensed supervisor.
Graduate Students
- Qualifying graduate students must be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program in in the mental health field (Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Social Work) or related mental health discipline. Students must have completed their core graduate academic coursework and must be in the practicum/ internship portion of their graduate program.
Do I have to attend all 5 days in full?
Yes. You will need to attend all training days in their entirety. Your attendance will be confirmed each day.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes. Please contact Sandra at 407-314-4192 before registering.
Is the cost of consultation included in the Basic Training program?
Trainees who begin the EMDR basic training must complete the entire training within 12 months from their initial start date. This includes attending the training sessions and completing ten basic group consultation sessions. Approved consultants’ information will be provided to you to facilitate the completion of your training at the rate they have set for consultations. (Prices range from $30-$50 per call) While requests for an outside consultant will be considered, there is no guarantee that the hours will be approved. If outside consultations are granted to fulfill the requirements, both parties will need to complete and sign the required forms.
Are in-house trainings available?
Yes. In house trainings are available to Florida practices by request to Contact@CentralFloridaEMDRTraining.com. There is a 6 registrant minimum to book a in-house training.
Will the CE's apply to all state boards?

Bio: Suna Clinchard is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and specializes in perinatal mental health and reproductive trauma. She works in private practice on the east coast of Central Florida. Suna is a Certified EMDR Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and a facilitator for foundational EMDR trainings for the Touchstone Institute and the Institute for Creative Mindfulness.
In her work as a therapist, Suna loves helping people honor find and their own light in creative ways, such as connecting with the power of music and nature. She weaves mindfulness and transpersonal EMDR into her work.
Suna offers passion and enthusiasm for teaching, consulting, and mentoring EMDR therapists. She recognizes personal connection as a foundation for learning and growth. A former educator in the elementary school setting, Suna has a gift for simplifying even the most complex of topics and an intention of helping therapists to feel “comfortable enough” in vulnerability, which often accompanies the developmental process of becoming an EMDR therapist.

Bio: Dr. Pamela Rinato has a unique style. She was the Director of Clinical Services at the Las Vegas Recovery Center. She used EMDR therapy to heal the victims of the October 1 shooting in Las Vegas. She spent 10 days at the Mandalay Bay hotel working with not only the victims of the concert but also with the first responders who were traumatized.
She has a gentle, professional approach and she joins her patients on their healing journey. Dr. Rinato has more than twenty-five years of experience in the mental health field with a background specializing in the treatment of veterans. Most recently, she served as head of the Addiction Disorders Treatment Program at the Southern Nevada Veterans Administration Hospital. Prior to joining the Veterans Administration, she spent more than twelve years in private practice in Florida. It was there that she founded a successful intensive outpatient treatment program.
Dr. Rinato holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Barry University, a master’s in Social Work from Florida International University, and a Doctor of Psychology degree from California University. She holds certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), (CPT), Cognitive Processing Therapy. She is a faculty member of the American College of Addictionology and is EMDRIA certified and an EMDRIA approved Consultant.

Bio: Kathie grew up on Long Island, New York, attended undergraduate school in Keene, New Hampshire, moved to Florida in 2001 to attend the University of North Florida, and obtained a Masters in 2006. She achieved licensure in Mental Health Counseling in 2009 and in 2012, became a Qualified Supervisor.
She has been practicing primarily in the field of correctional mental health, including the Department of Juvenile Justice, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at the county jail, and Florida State Prison. During her time at DJJ, she was fortunate enough to meet a woman who taught trauma-informed care, setting Kathie on her journey of becoming a trauma therapist. Additionally, during her time in correctional mental health, she was fortunate to become well-versed in predominately male patients who survived little T trauma and diagnosed with primarily Cluster B personality disorders. During her career, she also met many First Responders and Veterans, and became passionate about helping them meeting their mental health needs and setting them on their healing journeys.
